This detailed country-by-country overview of qualification and accreditation requirements of building energy certifiers demonstrates the diversity of approaches across Europe. A future recast of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive should include guidance on how to set up an effective and reliable certification process as well as require a more consistent approach from Member States when setting up those requirements.
